So I spend my time on and off of DA right? I'm not entirely active here in some sense.

Most of my social media stuff is in twitter due to the fact that viewerbases and friends just have moved and therefore I move along. Now my itch for adoptables has returned.

And I now have more free time to actually work on commissions instead of opening them once in the blue moon. So I return here to see what's up, but it seems entirely overrun by AI and the userbase feels dead. Obviously I've returned a few times before and it was the same kinda deal which makes it harder for me to invest my whole pussy into it.

So tell me what's going on? From someone who is out of the loop to someone who has stayed faithful to DA and simply has seen the ebbs and flows of it. Is this site still viable? How do you gain traction on this site? Is it dangerous to post here due to the immense amount of AI people? Is the adoptable scene simply dead? And why is that the case?

All questions I am trying to answer by researching like a blind chicken and coming up with cracked eggs. So I figured let me reach out, see what's going on.

Okay I will be working on some adoptables due to the fact that I finally have some time for ART and want to use that to reignite my love for adoptable making. Of course because of this I'd like to redo my policies a little bit and also maybe give some information for people interested in purchasing any adoptables.

Buying and retrading adoptables

Once you buy an adoptable that design is yours to do whatever you wish to do with. It is both for private and commercial use and I feel like I don't need anything other than a mention that I made the original design somewhere. Once you buy it I have no say over it and no ownage other than having made the original design.

Can I trade the design?

Yes you can trade the design if you feel like it is not exactly what you wanted from it or you can't find a place for it. That's completely fine with me.

Can I resell the design?

In the past I was rather iffy on this due to the fact that I didn't want to add to the strange adoptable buy and sell machine that was going on. Now however I feel like I understand that people wish to have some certainty on their investments and I can hedge my beds a little. Yes you're allowed to resell the design, the only thing I am asking is to not resell it for more than you bought it.

Can I gift an adoptable?

yes go right ahead I have no problem with people gifting things to others I think that's extremely sweet if you tell me maybe I'll have time to spruce it up even more.

Custom adoptables

I used to be rather antsy about customs, and I still honestly am. I'm trying to ease myself in as much as I possibly can. Since I do like the idea of customs but it'll take time. For now I will at least give the information about customs and also have other things custom made but in smaller scale so it's easier for me and my anxiety.

What are your custom rules?

Same as my original adoptable rules honestly, you can retrade and resell them if you wish however with customs I suppose it's a little harder. Be sure to credit me at least a little and i'll be fine lmao.

Will you ever do full customs?

Yes in the future I will open up some slots for full customs but for now I am just rebuilding my adoptable account. Surely later we'll see since I have ideas for it. Are you outfit customs open?

yes as of now they're open indefintely since I can decline those I am not interested in. You can always send me a dm for them.

Other information

So this is about closed species and other venues where I throw out adoptables. All my species are closed and will not be replicated or reproduced. Half of them are not available to the public and the other half are right now in the making of. I think when it comes to species I like to make sure there is a specific lore to them and an actual interesting idea other than just throwing design ideas around.

As for other venues I have a toyhouse that seems to have no real traction and a twitter you can always acces for sketches of future adoptables. Most of my recent stuff is on twitter so that's your best bet really. Don't even know who is paying attention to this account but I did throughout the year have made some adoptables that I was mainly selling through twitter (because it's just quicker) regardless twitter is falling apart so I am going into the other avenues again just to kinda see where would be the best place to actually sell my designs. Meaning I will upload some of my designs here and see how they do~

See it as a little test run to see if DA has what it takes, however straight up this site has fully changed and therefore I don't even know if I wrote those in the right place lmao.
